Meeting Pontus Nyberg - the second time

Several days ago, in the first article in the series (you can see it here: CLICK) we began to introduce Mr. Pontus Nyberg, a young Swedish hockey expert who will be a part of a team of coaches at this year's

This time, first we will take a look at some of the successes that Mr. Nyberg achieved in his coaching career.

Later on, of course, we will ask him the second question.

But first of all, let's focus on his coaching successes. Pontus Nyberg - as an assistant coach  - won the title of the champions at 1st Division South of Swedish Championship in the season 2013/14 with Växjö Lakers HC. He also helped promote the same team in the Elite League the same season.

During the last season, 2018/19, Sweden's U18 national team won second place at so-called Hlinka Gretzky Cup and of course - as already said - the title of world champions in the category up to 18 years. Mr. Nyberg helped as a video coach, as we mentioned earlier.

Mr. Nyberg, please tell us, what exactly is your job in Sweden's national team?

I work as a video coach and analyst for the national team. This means that before the matches, I am in charge of studying our opponents, watching how they play, where their weak points are and so on. I'm also in charge of the details in our game when the game is already running. I provide our coaching team with relevant information. After the matches, I select the shots of the good things in our game and show them to the team. In addition, I am also responsible for statistics.
